Price Action Don’t Lie: Crawford & Company Can’t Be More Hot. Just Reaches 52-Week High

 

The stock of Crawford & Company (NYSE:CRD.B) hit a new 52-week high and has $19.69 target or 58.00% above today’s $12.46 share price. The 5 months bullish chart indicates low risk for the $638.09M company. The 1-year high was reported on Nov, 11 by Barchart.com. If the $19.69 price target is reached, the company will be worth $370.09 million more.

Pre-Claim Nurse Triage a Little Used Best Practice for Workers’ Comp

 

Though large, self-insured companies have been using it for years, pre-claim nurse triage has not yet been wholeheartedly embraced by workers’ compensation carriers, according to Brian Cullen, managing director of Triage for Medcor, an outsourcing service that works to improve outcomes and reduce costs.

Workers’ Comp Drug Spend is Down, According to CompPharma’s 13th Annual Survey of Prescription Drug Management

 

CompPharma’s 13th Annual Survey of Prescription Drug Management in Workers’ Compensation showed an 8.7 percent reduction in payers’ pharmacy spend. The survey analyzed the 2015 pharmacy cost data of 30 workers’ compensation insurance carriers, third-party administrators, self-insured employers, and state funds.

Nonfatal Occupational Injuries and Illnesses Requiring Days Away From Work, 2015

 

The overall incidence rate of nonfatal occupational injury and illness cases requiring days away from work to recuperate was 104.0 cases per 10,000 full-time workers in 2015, down from 107.1 cases in 2014, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. In 2015, there were 1,153,490 days-away-from-work cases in private industry, state government, and local government—essentially unchanged from the number of cases reported in 2014. The median days away from work to recuperate—a key measure of severity of injuries and illnesses—was 8 days in 2015, 1 day fewer than reported in 2014.
