Paradigm Expands Surgical Implant Review into Full-Scope Cost Management Solution

October 29, 2025 By //  by Senior Editor

Industry-first program expands Paradigm’s established surgical implant review capabilities to deliver a comprehensive and cost-effective solution for the full scope of surgical procedures.

Walnut Creek, CA – October 28, 2025 — Paradigm, the industry leader in improving the lives of people with complex injuries and diagnoses, today announced the launch of Surgical Cost Management Plus, a first-of-its-kind solution built to deliver increased transparency and substantial cost savings to payers. Surgical Cost Management Plus expands the capabilities of Paradigm’s current Surgical Implant Cost Management program, leveraging an extensive national provider network, an industry-leading database, and expert-driven analysis to review every line of a surgical bill.

“Payers in the current market are increasingly challenged by provider consolidation, opaque billing practices, and inconsistent savings that have contributed to escalating costs,” said Paradigm Chief Networks and Operations Officer Chris Pricco. “By expanding our proven specialty implant review process, Surgical Cost Management Plus achieves superior client savings through durable discounts, lower reconsideration rates, and reduced administrative burden.”

Surgical Cost Management Plus will strategically enhance Paradigm’s established Surgical Implant Cost Management program to identify a wider scope of savings opportunities for any surgical bill. Backed by proven expertise and validated, true-cost data, the existing implant program has been able to consistently achieve an average savings of 69% for payers with a 98% durability rate upon appeal. The expanded Surgical Cost Management Plus program has been successfully rolled out to early adopters, with initial implementations already demonstrating significant savings.

“Paradigm is setting the pace with this first-to-market solution that brings much-needed transparency and cost relief to our clients,” said John S. Watts, Jr., CEO, Paradigm. “Thanks to an unparalleled national provider network with direct facility contracts, an expert-driven audit process, a unified workflow, and a dynamically updated pricing database, Surgical Cost Management Plus will give payers a powerful cost control option for high-cost surgical episodes.”
