When companies stand out in Minnesota for workplace safety initiatives, good things come their way.
Workplace safety and health representatives from the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry (DLI) recently recognized Ceramic Industrial Coatings as a Minnesota Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (MNSHARP) worksite
“Ceramic Industrial Coatings has shown great leadership providing both time and resources needed to reach this MNSHARP goal,” said Ken Peterson, DLI commissioner.
“When safety is a top priority, as it is with Ceramic Industrial Coatings, overall costs go down and productivity goes up. Best of all, fewer people go home with serious injuries.”
MNSHARP is a Minnesota Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MNOSHA) program that recognizes organizations where managers and employees work together to develop safety and health programs that go beyond basic compliance with all applicable OSHA standards and result in immediate and long-term prevention of job-related injuries and illnesses.
Ceramic Industrial Coatings is a supplier of industrial coatings to wood, metal and concrete markets. The primary focus is developing and manufacturing wood coatings for the millwork, cabinet and furniture industries, including solvent- and water-based coatings, stains and custom colors for a variety of markets and uses. The company was established in 1962.
DLI representatives were slated to commemorate the company’s employee-employer partnership by presenting a MNSHARP flag and a certificate that exempts the worksite from MNOSHA Compliance scheduled inspections for two years.
MNSHARP began in Minnesota in 1996. Ceramic Industrial Coatings is one of 34 active MNSHARP worksites.
