“The 5Cs to Taking a Bulletproof Injured Worker Recorded Statement”
The workshop includes an economic overview and discussion of workers compensation trends, how to use appropriate resources to classify a business, and understanding the experience rating process.
All attendees must register to guarantee a seat. Course materials and refreshments are included.
Licensed agents will earn three continuing education credits for attending this workshop.
Workshop Sessions
NCCI is hosting this free workshop to provide agents with practical day-to-day information to assist in the classification and quoting of workers compensation business.
Texas Workers Compensation Economic Overview and Workers Compensation Trends—This session provides an overview of the functions of a rating organization, the Texas workers compensation market, and information on changes in the job market.
How to Classify and Use the Appropriate Resources—A significant role that agents play for the benefit of their customers is to ensure the appropriate premium is being charged for their workers compensation coverage. As such, a better understanding of the classification process, the workers compensation rules, and the available premium pricing programs can assist the agent in achieving that professional objective.
Experience Modifications: Understanding, Managing, and Other Helpful Information—This session covers the role of experience rating and associated rules for modifying premium and the impact of frequency versus severity in the calculation of an experience rating modification factor. It also will cover ownership changes, the impact of rating calculations, and the steps that an insured can take to potentially improve its loss experience.
