Letter from Rebecca Shafer
Staying in front of the curve, knowing what tools employers need to manage their workers’ compensation programs, and to reduce costs, is not a small task. Almost my entire career over the past 25 years, has been focused on helping employers reduce their workers’ comp costs but the last 4 years, I have automated the process so ALL companies have access to cost reductions tools and resources.
I have also dedicated an entire website, www.ReduceYourWorkersComp.com to making tools, information and resources available to employers free of charge to teach them what can be done to “take charge of” their workers’ compensation programs. I like to think I have saved them millions of dollars during that time.
Having the perspective and knowing what employers need, comes from working for a law firm, a corporation, large insurance brokers and for myself as a consultant – it’s a 360 degree view of what employers “don’t know they don’t know.” It has also required that I learn the Internet from top to bottom from search engines, traffic building, web analytics, and banner design to social media, and integrate that with the complex subject matter of workers compensation cost containment. My viewpoint has included giving a voice to employers, attorneys and vendors through the Workers’ Comp Kit® Blog, to give private and federal employers, and companies in the United States and abroad, a place to find cost containment advice.
I appreciate the support I have received from my sponsors, my colleagues, my family and friends during the last few years while development of Workers’ Comp Kit® and www.ReduceYourWorkersComp.com has been underway. In the past, I have nominated my own clients for these awards (several have won!) for the intense effort they have put forward in their workers’ compensation initiatives. This year, I am honored to have been nominated for Workers’ Compensation Vendor of the Year for the development of Workers’ Comp Kit®, and would appreciate your vote on my behalf at the link below.
Regards,
Rebecca Shafer
